  • how do i get OpenGL working under win2k?

    I have a p3 600E running at 800 (133fsb)
    G400 regular.
Quake 3 says it can't load an opegl driver /renderer or something like that in it's load up box.

I run Win2K with 5.03 drivers and works fine. Works in 98SE with latest drivers too.
Frame rates aren't that great as Voodoo2, but that is expected with Q3

      Intel Celeron 300A@450
      Abit BH6 MB
      256 MB Ram PC100
Matrox G400 32MB Max DH mode
Creative Voodoo2 with "hacked" Win2k Drivers

Cable Modem connection. (I hated the DSL 384k dl. I hit 350k average day when everone is on, and 625 at night EVERY day with cable modem! Slowest I've gotten on very busy time is 160K.)

You probably have TurboGL installed in your openGL games' folder's. Remove the opengl32.dll from each game folder you want to run opengl in. Hope this is your problem and it helps. BTW this will make it so turboGL doesn't work in win98...can't have it both ways all the time.
