  • 5.52 + EpoxMVP3 + Quake 3 - any solutions???

i'm one of the few people who have an epox-mvp3-mobo and still can't get quake3/turbogl(or icd) and half-life/turbogl working.
    any ideas? driver mixing,...?

I am not sure, but I thought i saw somewhere that the TurboGL stuff that matrox released wasn't that stable, and that it was supposed to (but not gauranteed) to work with certain games.

I personally just have the PD 5.50 installed, and I can run Q3A, Halflife, Systemshock2 with everything available on, and it runs at 1024x768 with ease. the only reason that it only runs at that is cause of my damn monitor Try running those games WITHOUT the icd or turbogl installed. personally, i can't see a graphical difference, and as for gameplay, i prefer a stable and constantly running system

      Here' s another one Surfwienix
I have the same problem..I tried some "driver-mixing" with no results
Now I play UT with 5.52(it's better than 5.30 in D3D) but no Q3A

          I wouldn't reccomend this as a cure,but possibly a workaround.
It seemed to work on my Epox mvp3g2 with turbogl,QuakeIII,I don't know.
Keep the discarded drive safe in the recycle bin, just in case!
