  • Soldier of Fortune crash after 1st level - 2nd solution

Firts of all, don't complain that I have opened a new thread, this is a new solution!

My first solution was to use the certified 5.20 drivers for Win9x... well, I agree that is not the best way since 5.20 contains other problems! Anyway, I found a 2nd solution: just go into the BIOS and change the 'AGP Aperature size' setting to 256 Mb!
I did and it works fine! I use the 5.52 drivers!

I have the same drivers, and I have the apature set to 256megs, and I still have problems. Strange no?

Nope, same here. Apature set to 256mb, PD 5.52 and it still craps out. Thank goodness for the auto save, or else this game would have died a very quick death.

Anyone notice the sounds going all fugly on some levels. It happened to me a few times, but only if I use EAX...

PIII 450, 256mb mem, Matrox G400 32mb DH, SB Live Value, latest drivers on everything.
