No there is no TurboGL for win2k. As a matter of fact, the current drivers for win2k are almost as fast as the TurboGL drivers for win98. With about a 2%-5% drop.. not significant.
------------------
PIII-500, 128 MB, G400 MAX DH on, ABIT BH6, MX300
Win98SE drivers: 5.50.01
Win2K drivers: beta 5.01
In case it's a harware problem:
PIII-500@560, 256 MB, G400 MAX DH on, ABIT BH6, MX300
Win2K drivers: 5.52
Are there plans for a TurboGL or newer drivers? I saw a 30% decrease in frames (60 -> 40) in Quake 3 and 45% decrease (130 - 70) in Quake 1 when I migrated to Windows 2000 from 98. I'm also getting that "rainbow" effect in GLQuake that requires me to turn off dynamic lighting.
Online CS is typically 40-70 for me & 98. 40 is fairly rare, but happens in those situtations if you know what I mean.
Under W2k AS with optimized for applications (default is backround for S and AS, otherwise I'd blame it on that) and renaming the stupid file (barfs otherwise) it was in the 30-50 range, and it was more in the 30 than the 50.
