problem with Alien vs Predator and G400

Hy! I have Alien vs Predator. when i install it i know that there is a patch for G400. i install first the general patch and after that for g400 as they say on 3dfiles.com but the game back to win during loading of first level.
please help me...
i have g400, asus p2b-f, celly 366@550 , sblive, 128mb pc-100

Im not sure that I have any revolutionary ideas, it works perfectly on my rig, you might want to check out http://www.avpnews.com/support/patches.html
in order to get some professional help; I used the patches from this site and no problems.
I hope this is of some use to you.
btw you are using the latest drivers for your sblive?

Curious, I installed the game, too, and applied only the first patch (not the g400 one). Surprisingly, the game ran okay. Then, out of idel curiosity, I tried installing the g400 and guess what... the game ran again, without any noticeable differences.

All in 1024x768x32bpp (same as my desktop),using latest W98 drivers and DX7, so I guess the game is fine.
