  • Weapons Factory Arena ****MODEM USER FRIENDLY****(hopefully)

Mmmmm... Good looking mod. I may have to get hold of a copy of this and give it a try. Maybe something that'll finally convince me to stop playing my copy of UT so much over my Q3, hehe.

Weapons Factory Arena ****MODEM USER FRIENDLY****(hopefully)

Due to some concerns about my last post, I have deleted my old post. Here is a modem user-friendly setup.

The REAL reason I bought Quake3.

    WEAPONS FACTORY ARENA

A type of "freeze gun."(Early alpha shots. Newer gun models are used.)

    mmmMMMm... Jetboots....

    Assassin class.

The Assassin's best feature. Predator style.

WFA is a class based mod for Quake 3 Arena. A public beta will be released soon.
I am an Alpha tester for this mod and all I can tell you is that it is one of the best mods out there.

Oh yeah, here is the website you can find more information about this mod and, soon, will be able to download it.
    http://captured.com/weaponsfactory/quake3/index.shtml

P.S. I did not take any of these shots(they are taken by the Developement team), but WFA looks absolutely stunning with my G400 MAX.

Here are some random shots I added. The full sized pictures can be viewed at the website.

          merchant:
I didn't do those pictures, but Photoshop works great for that. They even have a web plug-in, that will show you a bunch of versions of the picture, from small file size to large, and you can choose from there.

Merchant, sorry, but I did not setup the webpage(I took the smaller pictures from the thumbnails section of the website). I am merely an Alpha tester that has the chance to help shape the direction of this incredible mod.

I believe the persons who are in charge of the webpage are Hinch(email: Hinch@captured.com) and Anthrax(email: anthrax@captured.com). You may ask them what they used to setup and scale the pictures.

Also, I would like to stress that WFA is nothing like the game of Q3 by itself. It is a totally different experience. If you love CTF or team based games, try Weapons Factory Arena.

            [Damn typos. heh]

What's the deal with this mod? Is this something that would get downloaded (if client enabled) from a WFA server? Or does the client user need to purchase this mod or simply download it when it becomes available? What's the ETA for the released version?
