  • BattleCruiser Millennium bumpmapped pics

Here's some spiffy screeshots R0M pointed me to this evening. According to the title on this page, these pics are for BC:3020AD, but I also found this note on the BC:Millennium page:"BATTLECRUISER MILLENNIUM USES THE NEW GRAPHICS ENGINE AND 3D MODEL DATABASE AS BC:3020AD."

This is gonna be a game for the G400s.
    Bumpmapped.
    DualHead enabled.
    D3D and OGL.
T&L (for if all those G450 rumors are true)
    mmmmmmmmm.

heh, you must be talking about the '96 v1.0x there son. When was the last time you played BC3K? Have you ever played the v2.0x series?

Below, you will find lots of reviews of the v2.0x series. Starting from the Interplay 2.0 release of 12/98, down to the GTi v2.08 release of 10/99. Show me one review that calls it buggy. Not to mention all the other print mags around the world that have written about and sang the praises of this series.

Please stop spreading false rumors. If you can't be a part of the solution, don't make yourself the problem. Be informed. Play the game. Then post. Thats what an educated and informed gamer does if he/she wants to be taken seriously.

Hi Supreme Cmdr, game looks really good this time. Looked really good last time too.... (except I didn't take the time to get the patches... I've been a fan since I first saw an article back in '92 (or thereabouts). Before playing it, I will judge that it looks damn good....

To back Derek Smart: as a loyal fan of the BC3K series, I have to say that I find this game totally enjoyable, and if there are any bugs present in the v2.0X series, I have yet to find them. Maybe you should try playing the game...

Thanks for your support and sorry for the mishap first time around (teething problems and foolish publishers). v2.0x is very good and believe me when I say this, the upcoming Battlecruiser Millennium is just plain kick-ass. Its not a major ground-up re-write, just a host of advanced graphics, superb multiplayer and some new features wrapped around the critically acclaimed v2.0x kernel.

A Beta is due out soon, watch for it!

You can also download the demo of BC3K v2.0 from our File Downloads page.

DAMN you've got a short ICQ number. I had a 6 digit number, at one time, but lost it (what a fool am I). Yours is even in the 100'000s!!!

Not often you see someone that grabbed ICQ before the mad rush came about...

                To supreme commander:
You're absolutly right, I've played the first version and was too much disappointed to go to the 2nd one. BUT, as time pass human tend to forget, and if this one 's great (I'll wait review tough), I'll surely give it a try, since like I said, I think the concept is great.

heh, I'm always into new stuff. So, when ICQ was first announced, I was there. People always ask me this for some strange reason. Cool thing is, I don't have to memorize it. Heck, I can hardly remember my social security number, let alone a lengthy ICQ one.

jackzod, check out the demo, read the reviews and then decide whether the 2.0x incarnation is for you or not. There are a lot of choices out there these days, when it comes for space combat sim. However, each one caters to a specific premise, BC3K on the other hand, gives new meaning to sensory overload. So, its not the game for everyone, by any stretch of the imagination. You're either going to like or hate it. That line is pretty much cut and dry.

Derek, most people hate it. You still wont admit it has bugs, like your own ships keep crashing into you.

Is there any rules against creating 'dummy' accounts in these forums? If not, then the last post must merit some form of abuse - a new profile just to do the one post, I mean come on!
