Problem with HL

Halflife is crashing back to desktop after about 2 hours (IN OGL)
Amd Athlon 650
FIC SD-11
128mb ram
Matrox G400 32 DH (not O'Cd, i screwed a pentium fan onto the heatsink)

I had the same problem but HL was crashing back to the desktop every oh, 30-50 minutes. My fix for it was to re-install the damn thing again (Half-Life). And since then its been stable as a rock. Hope this helps

1st: I cannot play in D3D AT ALL!
It goes at .001 fps, and my latency is 9999999
2nd: did you UNINSTALL and than REINSTALL it?
or did you just INSTALL IT OVER?
do i need to reinstall latest patch and cs mod?
