Better speed in HL TFC....

ok, I have been looking over the tweaks and such ans have been playing with my compo to see if I can get a little more in the fps area.

I did most of what I could find here (agp appature and vsynk). but am still running at 16+ fps(avg).

So first is DH basicly slower then SH?

Could use some more info, are you running on OpenGL? (if not, do so as D3d is slower and looks worse)
Take a look at the FAQ's board and use Kruzin's OpenGL.cfg

I think there could be a more fundamental problem tho, 16fps is significantly less than I get in 1280x960 on my p2-448 (ach my 700E doesnt like my mobo.. curse my mobo manufacturer's lying tech support) using my G400MAX in OpenGL.

Yes I am using d3d, ogl will not run. I'm not sure why. I think I am going to to a reinstall in a week or so. This install has been hacked together after having many componets changed over the last 8 months. I'll check the cfg info and such. Do I need to install seperate ogl driver or has it finally been added to the drivers?
