Quake3, 50 fps?!?

How can this be....I have a p3-558, with 128 SD-ram, and matrox G400.

In quake3, 640*480, 16bit, lowest settings, lightmap and using r_picmip 5, I get only 50 fps!! I don't understand, i should get 100 fps! sometimes it drops below 30 fps, especially on tourney4.

I use the 5.52 drivers

Silverflame, just out of curiosity, what framerate do you get on the Q3 Timedemo if you run it on High Quality? I get around 47 fps.
