3DMark 2000 and Win2000

I started the benchamrk, and righ after the CPU speed 1 demo (helicopter), the program exits back to windows, without giving me any errors... Anyone knows what's the prob?

most likely your CPU overheating ...

clock back to standard and check again.

I don't think so since, when I ran the program in Win 98, I didn't have that problem...

3Mark 2000 has a bad habit of crashing to the desktop in Windows 2000. This problem is not exclusive to Matrox. I've seen it happen with nVidia boards as well.

MadOnion admits to a problem with the helicopter demo. They claim it's related to the explosion particles and that the issue is "under investigation." They don't mention why it happens elsewhere.

Windows 2000 is more sensitive to overclocking than Windows 98.

It'll take a few goes, but you should get a result eventually.
3DMark2000 is really picky about its hardware/software. It does this as well with an AMD K6-2 in Win98.
