Since no one answers John RAMBO:

I GUESS (but I´m not sure) that if you force Triple Buffering with the Registry Hacks, It will be enabled in the game.

    But I´m not sure...

I've a sneaking suspicion that the support isn't yet in the ICD for Triple Buffering- I can't see the extension listed in the driver info in Q3A.
When you stick V-Sync on in Q3A it makes the games much slower and jerkier, and I don't think this should happen when Triple Buffering is on.

Odd statement about V-Synch ... intuitively, it would seem that enabling it would smooth out the motion, yet potentially decrease the FPS.

With V-synch disabled (as it is by default in the ICD) there isn´t a point doing triple buffering. TB increases performance (in some cases) with V-synch on because as you have 3 buffers you have more chance to hit a "start refreshing" in the monitor.
One more buffer also increases memory requirements. In games with lots of textures (like Q3) it doesn´t nothing but hurt performance because the video card starts doing AGP texturing sooner.

Ok, but what is the default setting of buffering in q3 arena ?. Double buffer with Vsync disabled or enabled.

Is it true?, that OGL API doesn`t know about TB. (D3D does).
