well, i had it enabled, but i noticed that when it was on my FPS went from ok to horrible, i know its my system, but thats my opinion of the triple buffering in Q3A

I've a sneaking suspicion that the support isn't yet in the ICD for Triple Buffering- I can't see the extension listed in the driver info in Q3A.
When you stick V-Sync on in Q3A it makes the games much slower and jerkier, and I don't think this should happen when Triple Buffering is on.
With V-synch disabled (as it is by default in the ICD) there isn´t a point doing triple buffering. TB increases performance (in some cases) with V-synch on because as you have 3 buffers you have more chance to hit a "start refreshing" in the monitor.
One more buffer also increases memory requirements. In games with lots of textures (like Q3) it doesn´t nothing but hurt performance because the video card starts doing AGP texturing sooner.
