Looks like praying to the driver gods really works!

Menu corruption and explosion marks in Quake 3 all fixed + 15FPS increase over 5.30 with regular ICD at 640x480 medium settings. I get 78.2 FPS on timedemo w/demo1 medium settings everything on...Yaahhoo!

Starlancer, Evolva, SoF, Homeworld, NFS PU, Drakan, Flight Unlimited III all working just fine.

Can't comment on HL, CS or UT because I use my trusty old doodoo2's for those games.

Nice job on the version 6 Beta drivers so far Matrox! They where worth the wait.

      So far, so good!
I think these drivers are swell.
Many hours of beta-testing with quake1 show..
1, The drivers work great with TGL
      2, Quake1 makes 250fps @ 512x384 on my machine

PS If you want some silly fun, timedemo qdq100 using a setup like this.

Wit, I tried that program you suggested, but I couldn't get it work. What ever I tried, it always showed white screen, nothing else. I suppose it should show something?

Arrrgggg...darn it...I spoke too soon about all being well with Quake 3 and the beta 6 drivers!

The menus are getting corrupted in a different manner now than the 5.52 drivers. After showing up perfect for a while the main titles still show up but all the smaller text has vanished leaving black voids where you usually see the smaller orange text. This is happpening with all the menu screens after the main one. For example when I go into the system menu I see all the large titles on the left hand side but the small options text on the right hand side has vanished!

Also the game crashs back to the desktop periodically and I get weird green lines on the outer edges of stairs and the outer edges of the light beams from spot lights.

I really hope this gets fixed because the increase in FPS is significant over the 5.30 drivers which do not exibit any of the above problems.

.......continuing to pray to the driver gods.

Hmm, I think I might hang back and wait for the final version of PD6.0. I'm quite happy with the performance from the 5.55 drivers from ParaKnowYa's v1.5 pack.

NFS:PU fog fixed... cool! Q3A fps higher than 5.52, even higher than the TGL1.3, very cool! 3dmark score dropped by 6 points... no big deal.
Someday, we'll look back on this, laugh nervously and change the subject.

After a few tries I switched back to 5.30. With the PD 6 ICD I get 31 fps in demo001 (HQ), with TGL 1.3 I get 38 fps. But that is not very important. UT is the point. Windows crashes within minutes while playing UT. Every time!

After testing PD 6 I noticed how many bugs 5.52 had. So I will use 5.30. There is no difference in framerate between 5.52 and 5.30 in UT!?

I managed to get UT running stable with PD6 beta (changed core-voltage from 2.2V to 2.4V). But Q3A is still unstable with both PD6-ICD and TGL 1.3 + PD6.
