Deus EX DEMO with PD6 beta problem

With PD6 and G400 32MB SH, I cannot run the demo in D3D mode. OpenGL mode did show up the main menu, but freezed up as well.

Any comment?

I didn't have any problems. I was using 16-bit color mode and desktop. 800x600 in game, 1280x1024 in desktop, etc. I have the regular Matrox G400 32 MB (non-MAX).

oh... I forgot to tell you that I'm using K6-2 450 with VIA 4-in-1 driver v4.22 installed. Does it matter?

Try getting the lastest beta 6 display driver? Keep the old driver installer handy just in case you need to revert.

Hi ppl,
I initially encountered performance problems in the beginning, but I remembered that since Deus Ex is based on UT engine and that UT runs pretty good on my system, I changed a few settings such as disabling Detailed Textures...and everything is faster...I don't see a problem with the demo, it looks ok to me...
