I'm running the G400 MAX in D3D mode and i get about 20mins of play and it crashes me back to desktop, resest my machine, or screen goes black and sound locks up.

but they just released the 1.1.0.1 patch and hte servers i use not updated so i can't test it.

i'm running Win2K and using the 5.03 drivers the 5.10 BETA makes the screen go lopsided when it gets ingame

I am running cs6.6 and half-life 1.0.1.1 on win2k and having no problems. Well, almost no problems. I get texture corruption. What i mean is the texture becomes all distorted and is flashing all kinds of colors. It happens on some textures at random times. But there is a fix. When this happens ( usually to a weapon model ) just hit ESC to go to the in game menu then just resume the game again. Presto, the textures are fixed. I have to run it in openGL. If i run it in D3D i can not see any menus when i press the ESC button.

System: PII 450, ASUS P2B, Sound Live!

P.S. Bx type motherboard the most trouble free motherboards you can buy, three years old and companies still make them.

I am still having the same problems as well. I have reinstalled all of halflife/matrox drivers and have installed the newest patches. I still receive the jumbled textures when the map changes on a server.

          ugh...

Hmm...I have no problems at all on my G400MAX, I can play in both D3D or OGL w/o any problems. For five hours strate even. I'm running an Athlon ThunderBird on an ASUS K7M w/ latest bios (1009).

CS 6.6 and HL 1.1.0.1 are running great.

Okay! i think that my system can run just as stable as yours!! My K6-III 450mhz is not the world's fastest but it runs stable!!!!!
The K6-III and the G400max on a Asus P5a is a good combination! But i realy want a Athlon!
Now i will re-insall my system, and i hope that tonight my system runs just like it did in the older versions of Counter-strike!

                  ;-)
