    Just curious, I'm running a MVP3 system (at least until my CUBX shows up) and the 4n1 pack didn't install the VIA IDE drivers either. Are they recommended for all VIA chipsets, or just the newer ones, like in the Asus board you're all talking about? I'm not having IDE problems, I was just curious. (HDTach results: burst 54.2, avg 18.85, 4.4% cpu. Maxtor 10 gig 7200rpm UDMA/66)

      Well, I have a ASUS K7M w/ VIA chipset. I haven't had a problem at all since I got it (over 6 months). In fact it's more stable then my BX board (G400MAX).

        The K7M does not use the VIA AGP drivers. It uses the AMD AGP driver,
        AGP Miniport Driver, Version 4.61 (Windows® 98; not required for Windows NT®) Driver Information
        and you can get it here http://www.amd.com/products/cpg/bin/
        No dummy, its rape, pilage, and THEN burn.

          Hey paulcs;

          Where do you check in Windows to see that you're using the 4.20 version busmaster drivers? Also; do you have a DMA box in your hard drive's system profile? I followed your advice and reinstalled the busmaster drivers. It worked, but the DMA box is no longer there. Is this normal?
