  • Incorrect triangles in Re-volt

    Hi,

I have downloaded the demo (version 2) of Re-volt. I have a Matrox Millenium G400 and when I start up the game, I get a lot of incorrect calculated triangles within the rendering. I'm using DirectX 7.0a and have installed version 5.20 of the matrox drivers. I also tried it with version 5.52 and 5.55 of the drivers. Is there a solution for this problem. I do not have this problem if I play the demo in a window ... only in fullscreen.

Boey, this problem doesn't exist in the full retail version of the game.

This is the first I've heard of this.

I've never tried the demo version of Re-Volt. I do have the full version, and the latest patch is important to prevent lockups. I don't think that the patch would apply to the demo, though.

Are you seeing "tearing" of polygons? Perhaps you can turn on the video option to sync with the monitor's refresh rate.

If that doesn't do it, it almost sounds as if you may be overclocking too much?

How do you guys even get Re-Volt to run?
On my system, just when the race is about to begin, I get a "Win98 bluescreen" and have to reboot the machine.
I have the latest patch for Re-Volt and I've done the standard thing with linear filtering.
All other games seem to run fine; Quake III, SoF etc.
I'm using the 6.00 beta drivers.

        Specs:
        G400 32 MB DH
        Gigabyte GA-BXU
        Pentium III 500
        196 MB

I have installed the complete game but I still see a lot of miscalculated triangles during the game. And I also have a lock-up sometimes. I've read this problem should be solved by installing the latest patch. But where can I find this patch? And do you have any solution to solve my first problem?

A great source for demos, patches & gaming news is the Adrenaline vault, www.avault.com, and the revolt patch is at http://www.avault.com/pcrl/patches_t...volt&size=.443

I'm still clueless for miscalculated triangles...I've never seen that with ReVolt.
