This is strange, I'm using Windows 2000 Advanced Server and DirectX8 ( I was using Direct X7 previously and was still having the same problem ). After a while of playing a Direct3D game, it gives me the annoying Win2k BSOD. It says some PAGE_FAULT_ERROR or something like that and its being caused by G400D.dll. I tried 5.10 and 5.04 drivers also, same problem. When I restart my computer, I am greeted with a BAD_POOL_CALLER BSOD screen which makes me reboot. One time it got so bad that I had to re-install the matrox drivers before I could get back in normally. Is there something conflicting with Direct3D and the Win2k Matrox drivers?
