slow fps w/diablo2 + g250

Hi

i have a p2-400 w/128megs, 256meg fixed swap file. my g250 has 8 megs. running directx7a, powerdesk 5.52, and latest bios.

i am doing 25fps w/about 10 fps dropped! all 128 megs of ram is used, plus 100megs of swap file.

and this is all in single player mode.

Is it my processor or my video card that's the bottleneck?

oh, for mga-tweak util (v1.20beta), what's the maximum i can push the g250's memory speed?

Both your cpu and G250 are the bottlenecks. Altho both are well fitted for each other both are the problem with the games of today.

OCing your card is limited to the speed of the mem used and the quailty of the parts.

pssssst. single player is limited to only 25 fps.

oh yea if you wanna see it go faster in single player mode, run Diablo II.exe with the extension -fr ##, where ## is the max number of frames you want diablo 2 to be running at. i don't recommend going over 35 due to the fact that the game gets really fast and youre likely to die quicker.
