No it's not, the game runs fine and I've got it to run quite fast, but in some maps it just quits out to the desktop for no reason.
I,ve got 256 meg of ram and a plenty enough page file size. I think it has something to do with the ATA66 controller and the CD rom.
I think if I could get some crack to stop needing the CD in the drive it will stop happening. I'm not running a pirate or anything, but I know win2k is a bit buggy when it comes to CD roms!

Just a theory at the moment

    Cheers Till

I can assure you it's not the ATA66 or CDROM. It actually is a bug in the current G400 win2k drivers.

I play online, without cd (don't need it for online play), and don't have a ATA66 controller. I also get this problem, as well as many other people. If you looked on my WIn2k driver bugs site (check profile), you would have seen this bug listed.

Maps that are affected include Q3DM12 (jumping / swimming in the water), and Q3Tourney1 (that one suffers a lot!).

I've heard the certified 5.04 drivers suffer a lot less from this bug.

      - What do you get when you put N nVidia whores in a circle and each one pats the person on their right on the back and says "nVidia wins 3dfx and Michael Knight any day of the week!" ?

      - You get N people with a boosted ego, and no-one loses anything; keep up the good work, boys!
