  • What Driver For System Shock 2?

I finally got around to loading System Shock 2 on my system. I see that back in December/January time frame people were having trouble with this game and the 5.41 drivers. That's what I'm currently using and I'm obviously having the same problem.

I tried a search in the forums, and see no references of any driver version that works (besides going backwards to 5.30). Is this my only option if I want to play this game?

I've found the best results with PKY's driver pack 1.5, which uses the 5.55 drivers. I also encountered problems with SS2 using the 5.41 drivers.

I was experiencing a few problems with the 6.0 beta drivers so I have stuck with 5.55 (I think this is essentially the same as 5.52 for the G400).

      Good luck,

I went ahead and loaded the 6.0 beta drivers (and while I was at it, updated my bios from "1.3-20" to "1.6-25").

So far everything is working fine -- even System Shock 2.
