G400 Hard Lockup in Quake3 in Win2k

There's another thread here about hard lockups, but I didn't see anything pertaining to Win2k. TGL isn't available for Win2k, right? I've installed the 5.11 drivers and don't know what else to try. I've tried 5.10 and 5.04 (I think that's the one.) and none work. I get two seconds into the actual single player map before it freezes. My player is bobbing up and down nicely for about two seconds before everything halts and I'm forced to do a hard reboot.

Check your sound card, I'm having a similar problem and have narrowed it down to my SB live. Got to get a different card to test my theory!
