Don't forget to add 'Use32BitZBuffer=True' to the [D3DDrv.D3DRenderDevice] section.

      The bug is finally fixed!!

Unfortunatly, performance is way down. I used to get 55 fps in 32bits at 800X600 full detail but now I get like 35-40

If it's the cost of the 32 bits Z-Buffer...I'm going back to 420!

Better keep your old d3ddrv.dll just in case!

The Z-Buffer and the fog (UseVertexFog!!) is fixed. I don't notice a lower performance. It is the same as 420.

Damn! I´m sick of this! Epic must be joking!

It´s even worse with 4.25. That horrendous hard drive thrashing is back. I give up...

Ok, that is not the perfect patch. I turn every option on and it was really slow (50% loss of fps). But it seems to be just one or two options which cause this slowdown. First Trilinear Filtering must be broken. Turning this off (UseTrilinear=False) helps a lot. And Detailed Textures isn't that fast, too. But this might be acceptable if you have a fast computer. For me it is not (K6-3/400).

I don't use these options. So 425 is the best for me: Fast and no more graphical problems (Z-Buffer and fog fixed).

About hard drive trashing: I think this happens when you enable UseAGPTexture and set a high AGP Size in BIOS. I set it 'True' using 16 MB of my 128 MB.
