  • FPS in Diablo II

For the last month or so, I've been using my old Voodoo2 cards to play in Diablo II because the Glide API is preferred over Direct3D. But because of intermittent crashes with my system while o/c'd, I decided to remove the Voodoo2 cards and use my G400MAX again. While I was using the Voodoo2 cards (SLI), I had FPS of ~60fps. Now, with Direct3D, it dropped down to a LOW ~30fps.

Any of you with Matrox G400 cards experiencing the same problem when you play Diablo II using Direct3D acceleration?

i dont really see a point in going any faster than 24 fps. in single player thats what it is limited to. 2d games dont really need high framerates like 3d games.
