Have you installed the VIA 4-in-1 drivers??

    You can get them here:

    www.viatech.com/drivers

Use the latest 6.01beta PD drivers. DON"T use the TurboGL.

My mobo is a Gigabyte GA7IX (ADM751 chipset)

I wrote about my old board (stupid me!)

I had the same problem once, but after installing the AGP miniport driver it worked.

I've got the same prob with my system after a clean install of windows. (no hardware changed and I'd preciously run Q3A happily) I found that although UT runs great in Direct 3d mode, it will show the same symptoms in OpenGL mode.

          I've got:

          K6-III/450
FIC 6023A mobo (4in1 drivers installed)
          Win 98SE
          G400 DH 32 MB
          SB Live
          64 MB RAM

It only seems to be when I try to run OpenGL games. Kind of infuriating as I'd really like to give Voyager a go when it comes out.

Did you manage to get your system running in the end?

          Cheers

          Jeff

I finally got the prog to work when I installed the beta of the 6.xx drivers. Somebody told me that the latest 5.xx driver had a problem with VIA chipset mobo's but the 6.xx got round this.

I've got the impression from reading the forum that installing TurboGL won't give you much of a speed boost but may affect features in some of the games.

BTW - Voyager Elite Force looks pretty cool. Anyone know when it's out?

            Cheers
