I have the 5.52 drivers still installed.
Q. can I use this latest utility version?

Q. under the OGL tab/vsynch tab, what should I check off to enable vsynch?

I used the utility to enable vsynch in OpenGl even with my 5.52 drivers.
Half Life, OpFor, Q2, and the demo SOF are all rock solid!
I had been incorrectly under the impression that enabling vsynch would not effect OpenGl apps.

Half Life now occassionally kicks me out to a frozen desktop from a hard save and requires ctrl-alt-del to restart computer. But who cares? A small price to pay for stunning graphics!
