I've got it on preorder, but it hasn't arrived here just yet. Just based on the demo, I'd have to agree that it's a great game.

Right Elemental- we use inches here for the monitor size (mine's a 19" also). Do you have the same performance limitations with the demo as with the final?

I think that performance was better in the demo. I played the demo in 800*600. But what is kind of strange is that the game itself runs with acceptable performance for me in 800*600, but it takes very long too load in the beginning or when you enter a new sector or level.
I think it's time for me to add more RAM and a faster grafics-card. I have a friend with a Athlon900, 256MB RAM and Geforce2 GTS with 64MB! Awesome performance on that system!!!

            I forgot:
Does the american version include the german voices?
I heard that there's only one version of this game. The german version includes the german voices and texts as well as the english.

Genom: try using the TurboGL. The TGL manager probably won't detect it (it won't by me, with the demo), so take the opengl32.dll file from a game you have installed TGL on (your Quake 3 folder) and put it in the folder you have installed Elite Force. To find out if it worked look at the driver info in the display settings (like in Quake 3).

The movies won't work, you'll just hear the sounds (same thing happens in Quake 3 with PD 6.* and TGL) but your game won't look like a bad video recording anymore

I just got it, and it looks cool, but I got 2 big beef's right now. First, if I set it to 1024x786, the controls lag. Like I hit jump, and he jumps a fraction of a second later. Plus if I enter a menu screen while playing and exit, then my textures start going bonkers. Very anoying.

Oh well, back to trying to get it to work right

I can't imagine how great this game must look in 1024*768. I play at 640*480 with texture detail set to high. In 800*600, I have to lower texture detail, but it still takes very long to load between the levels.
Well, 640*480 doesn't look that good on 19 zoll monitor (by the way, how do you describe the size of your monitor in the usa? In inch or what?).
