  • Can you guys recommend some good 2 (or more) player games?

I got bored with the PSX in the living room, and seeing as the G400 has such sweet TV out...I ordered a USB hub, extension cable, and a couple of those new logitech PSX style controllers. Only thing I don't have is any games that you can have two or more people playing on a single machine. A football game would be nice (probably Blitz...is it released yet?), but I'm open to suggestions for pretty much any style of game.

Also, was thinking that even if the controllers were in the living room, we'd probably need the keyboard as well. Is there any problem with having a PS2 and a USB KB connected at the same time?

Last weekend we played with 4 people on a 100Mbit hub&network. Games played?
    • Star Trek: Armada
    • Star Trek: Starfleet Command
    • Need for Speed 5: Porsche Unleashed
    • Command & Conquer Firestorm
    • Unreal Tournament
    • Alien vs Predator
    • Grand Prix 3
    • The Sims
    • Multiplayer Solitaire

      Other things we did:
    • Copied lots of stuff to and from the other's computers

Games you might want to try:
    • GTA
    • GTA 2 (cool graphics !!)
    • Quake (1, 2 or 3)

I think with the exception of the two Star Trek titles and GTA 2, I do have pretty much all of those, and we do have a blast with them (I've got two machines networked).

What I was specifically looking for was games 2 people could play on 1 computer...so we could take advantage of the big TV (kind of like a $2000 Playstation...).
When I was younger, we used to play games like that on our Amigas (everyone had an Amiga...). Scorched Tanks rules

I guess only Command&Conquer comes into that for the PC... (??)

I've got a couple of games for the C64 though, including an emulator... just don't know if it does IPX or TCP/IP

A couple of Sports titles come to mind:

Sammy Sosa High Heat Baseball -- probably the best baseball game out there right now. Great graphics, sound and animation.

MotoRacer 2 -- it's a little dated (2 or 3yrs?), but still fun. I bought my copy for $9.95 (US). You can play it in split screen with as many as 4 players, I believe. In case the title doesn't click.... it's a motorcycle racer - both dirt and street bikes.
My rig: P4 3.0GHz; Asus P4C800E; 1GB DDR 3200; AIW Radeon 9800 Pro; WD 120GB SATA; Plextor DVD burner; Liteon DVD reader; Audigy 2ZS; Logitech Z560 4.1; NEC FE991SB

Kid's rig: AMD XP 1600+; 512MB ram; GF4 Ti4600; Maxtor 60GB; Plextor CD burner; Sony DVD reader; SB Live; Cambridge 4.1 speakers; NEC FE991SB

            Other kid's rig: Athlon 2700+; ASUS A7N8X mobo; 512MB PC3200 ram; GF4 Ti4600; Maxtor 80GB; SB Live; Cambridge 2.1; NEC FE991SB; Liteon DVD-ROM

              Very funny Jord

Beezer..I think I've got a copy of Motoracer2 around here somewhere...I think it came bundled with some piece of hardware I bought. I have no idea what it may have been though. I'll have to dig through the old install CD archive (large cardborad box full of 'junk').

Atomic Bomberman is still good for a laugh, we always play it when we go to a mate's house.

1 PC, 4 joypads & 2 on Keyboard. And if there are more of us, we just network it, for a maximum of 10 players
