MY, my, my, that was funny. I was laughing for ever on that. If I can ever do that again... OH YEAH!!!! Just to funny to pass up

Seriously, to bad you had to leave, we got up to 10 players for a bit.

If any of you want to get on the server right now and later tonight, I will be jumping on there soon. Maybe we can get another match going.

Ah...so gyaq is Duty. You're a good player. That was fun this afternoon, but I don't think "player" was enjoying it too much.

So far pretty fun.....no lame-a** players. But I occasionally get unreal lag spikes (~ 5 secs). But still lots o' fun, so see you all there.

Well, it got pretty hoppin tonight.

If the server seems a little empty, here's a couple thoughts.

I think there are too many maps in the rotation. For the casual player like me, there are a few popular maps I know already, and if pressed for time, I'm more likely to play one of those.

Also, maybe I'm just unlucky but half the time I've tried this weekend, I've gotten a map I don't have (e.g. bozz). I just think that having to download a map is likely to send an impatient player to the next server on his list.

Far and away, the most popular map on the net seems to be 2fort. And with good reason: it's a very well-designed map. The server could do worse than to offer a higher percentage of 2fort. Consider also that there seem to be a few interested murc-ers who are new to TFC. Better to start with the basics than drown in a deep pool of advanced maps.

Of course if people like the large rotation, feel free to ignore me. Just my 2 cents (and I don't claim to be a TFC expert).

I like the variety of maps in the rotation.
Running only stock maps gets old quick.
Any that are not stock are availabe at the [MU] home page.

What I would like to suggest is that the time limit be reduced to 20-25 min. The rounds are too long right now.

I don't know, I like the map rotation right now. But I am not sure if this is good for getting people on the server. Maybe we can go with the base maps for a while and get everyone going with playing TFC on the server, then we can add the extra maps.

BTW, I had great time last night. Liquid Snake is a pretty decent player, and I believe there was also Dr John (???) there. But he left for some reason /???

Just my 2 cents but I was having a great time (7 on 7) when we hit a map change that left me playing by myself (bozz).

Heh, that was funny, at one point, the whole blue team was made up of entirely engineers

Actually, I used to play TF in the old Quake1 days (1998). I was pretty good, but then I started playing CS, and I lost some of my TF skill. Look at Kruzin's screenshot, I had twice as many deaths as kills

I had a great time too, but unfortunately for some reason I have a hard time with my connection to the MGI TFC server. Ping is playable, but I get unbearable lag spikes....every couple minutes I freeze for 5-10 secs. While I can usually hold my own on other servers, against you all I need all the help I can get. Granted, I'm using a modem (hey, I live in the San Francisco Bay area and still can't get DSL where I live), but I never have this problem on other servers. I've tried on and off with the same results. The game play's great, but my connection problem makes it pretty frustrating.

Everybody gets those spikes, so you weren't alone I guess there is a phone line problem up there in Canada

Isn't there a law against living in the US and playing a game on a server located in another country? Some sort of exporting of technology?
