can't play q3 on Me, unsupported marker type

i have a g400max, running windows Me using the latest driver.. everytime i try to play a game, a couple of seconds to the loading screen (sometimes when loading a map, sometimes when loading items) after i choose a map, i get thrown back to Windows and the console says 'unsupported marker type 0x...'
anyone know what's going on? i suspect it has something to do with image format..i never had this problem when i used 98se

Make sure you have DirectX7 installed, and if so, if DirectX acceleration and AGP support are enabled. It´s an OpenGL game, but it needs DirectX.

Try also the latest version of GLSetup (http://www.glsetup.com), it may work...

P.S. Have you uninstalled the previous drivers correctly before installing the latest?

Don't use GLsetup. It looks for the latest drivers, but rarely gets the latest ones. Go to Matrox's website to get the latest released drivers.

Hi!
There was such problem and for me, only showed a little differently.
To correct and I was not possible, alone that a smog to make is OGL-game in a window.
P.S. Also do not put GLSetup!!!!
