I totally gave up on 3D.
2D, 1024x is gorgeous and absolutely no slow downs.
The only hiccup is a black screen on changing discs if there are any programs running in background.
I wont be flashing bios or switching drivers until the Xmas holidays.
Can't afford down time during kids' school term.
