Speaking of Carmageddon 2: Carpacolypse Now, how does it play? Sounds like a pretty fun game. I got Need for Speed:High Stakes, and frankly, despite all the cool cars, the killer graphics and hot pursuit mode, and even the fact that you can download more cars of the net, the game really doesn't hold my interest. Why? I cannot stand the tracks! Seems they get worse with every version of NFS. Anyhow don't mean to rant on and on..

    So how's Carmageddon?

      I looooove it!!
I've been a big Carmageddon fan since the very first game came out.
I was gutted when I couldn't get Carmageddon 2 to run under Win2k, actually it was the only reason I kept a dual-boot for a while.
Carmageddon TDR2000 looks really nice, even without the EMBM.
It plays very fast, I don't think I've seen any major slow down's.
Some of the missions are a little difficult, but all in all the game is great.
Make sure you get that blood patch if you get the game in zombie green flavour (you gotta have that extra splatter!!)

One of the best effects in the game is the pause button.

When you hit it, the camera rotates around the outside of your car.

This can give some quite impressive views if you do it just after ramming into a ped at high speed!!

I know what you mean. That's why german people have to ram aliens instead (same for british, but with zombies).
Someday, we'll look back on this, laugh nervously and change the subject.

The green blood versions are the only ones currently available, since the game STILL isn't out in the US.

But on another matter - please take note that certain individuals from these countries (England and Germany) have claimed that censorship doesn't exist in their countries. I submit the game in question as evidence to the contrary.

I'm the least you could do, oh yeah

            I would still get screwed

              LOL.
              No censorship in the UK.
              That's a funny one.
Who was it who said this, I'd love to have a serious conversation with them
The UK is still behind on so many things and the government still thinks it knows what's better for us all.
I think Germany seems just as bad as us, but they certainly do get their games censored a lot more than us.
