    It was 203.

Warning though, the new 6.10 drivers messed up BG2 big time for me, flickering icons, the game runs at 2 fps etc.

They managed to get the year old z-buffer bug in UT sorted out though.... but, sigh... I'm so ****in' tired about this.

      Thx for the advice.
I upgraded to 203 (1.9-33) with great succes. Ur right, it does improve the apperance of BG2 drastic.
I havent had any problems with this compo..??

Thanks for that piece of info... I get the 256 colours thing in a commercial app and I'm hoping this will help...

Who'd have thought a BIOS upgrade would fix something like this, how bizarre

Now I have had 2 blue Screens of Slow Death (win2000).

          Each time with the fault:
Stop (yadayada and a lots of numbers)
          DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

Following this, the slow countup while memory is being dumped..
          Anybody had this before?

I upgraded to the 2.03(The unified BIOS) with my MAX, Powerdesk 6.04, and no joy when running in hardware mode. It works beautifully in software mode though.

Forgot to put down the Information for my card and setup:
              Windows ME

              Graphics hardware:
              Matrox Millenium G400 MAX AGP
              Graphics chip: Matrox G400
              Memory: 32MB
              Memory type: SGRAM
              RAMDAC: 360MHz

              Graphics Software:
              Graphics BIOS: 1.9 - 33
              Display driver: 4.12.01.1640(1.64.029)
              Mini-VDD: 4.12.01.1640(1.64.029)
              Matrox PowerDesk: 6.14.051
              DirectDraw/Direct3D driver: 4.12.01.1640(1.64.029)
              Microsoft DirectX: 4.07.00.0700

If anyone has any information why BG2 STILL won't work in hardware mode without the weird 8 bit color while in OpenGL mode, I'd appreciate it. The game works beautifully in software mode and 32 bit color.

I figured I would throw in that I installed the new 6.10 powerdesk, and still no joy. It actually caused things to get worse, not better when in hardware mode. Software mode still works beautifully.
