  • gl_texsort 1, No longer works?

I recently reinstalled HL on one of my computers. I went to type in gl_texsort 1 for my matrox card and I got a "Unknown command" error?

Did the latest half-life patch kill the gl_texsort option? Is there another command that could be interchanged with gl_texsort to achive the same effect. At the moment my HL@800x600 on W2k is running at a max of 15 fps =\ For some reason a 32 meg video card shouldn't be running like that
    hehe

I don't, and never have, use "texsort."

    This is my Matrox.cfg in \valve\hw :

    gl_ztrick 0
    gl_polyoffset 0.1
    texgamma "2.0"

    In my autoexec.cfg I have:

    gamma "6.000000"
    brightness "4.000000"
    gl_overbright "0.000000"

    and it looks just fine.

As for fps, it varies per map; never less that 28fps on my P3-733.

woah, still low for FPS on a 32 meg card =( I have a geforce 256 32 meg ddr in my other computer and I hardly ever reach under 70Fps at 1024x768 =\ I am going to try your HL config now =) thanks

Don't know why your FPS are so low. I'm sure if you do a search, you'll find tons of threads on Half Life configs here. I haven't played the game for some time now, but when I was, I got somewhere in the high 40's and low 50's for fps at 1024 x 768. I only have a PIII 450 and a vanilla G400 32MB.
