    Ryuhei,

I know where you're coming from...
    I have been using a friend's Asus V6800
(Detonator 6.31 drivers) for two days.
In OpenGL games like QuakeIII, the GeForce
    card is MUCH faster.

    1024x768x32 Normal setting
    G400MAX Demo001 = 39.0 Demo002 = 40.4
    GeForce Demo001 = 67.6 Demo002 = 70.0

However, Unreal Tournament (v4.36) was another story. The G400MAX played better and looked better than the GeForce...?....
Then again, maybe I have something wrong
    in the game settings

    Sound Blaster Live!
    Motorola CyberSURFR

On a Geforce you run UT in OpenGL.
      C:\DOS
      C:\DOS\RUN
      \RUN\DOS\RUN

I hate to say that I'd agree with most of your folks findings. Benchmarking G400 OEM SH on my BH6 @ 1024x768 = 27fps in "High Quality" mode /w my celermine @ 850MHz.

Quality is surprising however, better than any matrox ICD released so far. Funny how I was able to achieve 34fps using the beta ICD back from Sept 1999, but then I was not able to achieve 70fps in 640x480 with that icd like I can with PowerDesk 6.10 (5.41 driver ICD/TurboGL 51/64fps). I think Matrox has finally added SSE/3DNOW support to their openGL driver.

        Reguards,

Why especially on a PCI128? I mean, it´s a PCI card, #d sound should have little impact on framerate, I thought it was about the same impact as the Live!. It has 3D and EAX extensions and 4-speaker output.

it does have a significant impact, even on a SBLive!

Since the SBLive! does accelerate more of EAX in hardware than a SB128, the framerate hit on the SB128 will be even greater. The fact that they are PCI soundcards has nothing to do with it.
