You have to use MTSTUtil to set OpenGL to 'Optimize for accuracy'. Then, you have to copy the turboGL opengl32.dll file into the folder with alice.exe. The game runs fine then, but the movies at the beginning don't play.

Choppy? Umpf... it's beyond choppy (1 fps or less) at the point where the girl falls into the pit, before the part with the rolling ball. And there's a choppy room too, where you get a potion from some sort of device.
It doesn't seem to be related to resolution or quality settings. I'm on Win2K, BTW.P3@600 | Abit BH6 V1.01 NV | 256MB PC133 | G400MAX (EU,AGP2X) | Quantum Atlas 10K | Hitachi CDR-8330 | Diamond FirePort 40 | 3c905B-TX | TB Montego A3D(1) | IntelliMouse Explorer | Iiyama VisionMaster Pro 17 | Win2K/NT4

Yes you're right, the intro had some chopppyness too. I forgot about that.
I think the lag in the pit is very bizarre, because there's nothing but walls. Looks like someone is wasting a lot of resources on handling invisible stuff. In general the game runs very smooth though, so it may just be a map problem.P3@600 | Abit BH6 V1.01 NV | 256MB PC133 | G400MAX (EU,AGP2X) | Quantum Atlas 10K | Hitachi CDR-8330 | Diamond FirePort 40 | 3c905B-TX | TB Montego A3D(1) | IntelliMouse Explorer | Iiyama VisionMaster Pro 17 | Win2K/NT4

Hey guys! Ritual Entertainment acknowledges there is a problem and used my "fix":

YAY! Hopefully, they can fix the slow down problem! Please use this thread: http://forums.murc.ws/ubb/Forum4/HTML/004546.html for the discussion. Let's close this thread (we don't need two threads about Alice and G400).Ant @ The Ant Farm (http://antfarm.ma.cx)
