maybe we can organize a European MURC LAN party somewhere next year?

There are quite a few MURCers from England, Holland and Germany... since those countries are not far apart....

the only prob is the hosting....

would be fun! but since I don't have a car (nor have a driver license ), I have to wait and see if some of the other Dutch Murcers want to come (or a German Murcer that comes near the city of Enschede on the way to Hamburg)... if we can fit 4 people in 1 car, we can go there without too high expenses I guess...

so the next part is to find some people who are also willing to go, and to decide when to have the LAN

A European MURC party sounds great! Travel out of the UK doesn't cost a lot these days (d'you think I can get my full tower case & 21" monitor as Hand Luggage on the plane? )

Hmm, well maybe a little way out of my reach - but a great idea!

http://www.planet-insomnia.de/ is the gaming LAN counterpart to our annual symposium and it's held on a regular basis here in the south of Hamburg.

Best thing about that is that I know the organizers pretty well so that I could reserve a MURC area within the hall !!!

A LAN party sounds like it would be a blast.

As long as it is not too far away, I might could make it. If you want to crash at middle-of-nowhere Mississippi, y'all can come have the LAN party at my place.

A Toronto LAN party sounds good. Some of us from the states (alright just over the Rainbow Bridge) would love to have an excuse to go north of the border (and stock up on some duty-free stuff). Think customs will give us a problem taking a van full of computers and networking equipment across?

It was fun! Started my addiction to another game that I suck at... UT.

Now I have all my friends playing it. Until that LAN party, we'd never really played an FPS since DOOM2. Mostly racing and Age type games.

I didn't participate in the "offline gaming" so I don't know what they're talking about...that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

The 8 hour drive to Denver kinda sucked. If I do it again, I'll look into flying or renting a car....

I'll definitely bring my glasses as well. After gaming for that many hours and in that heat, my contacts and eyes were hosed...

I've also been looking for those pics...I guess Greebe hasn't developed the film, yet.
