Is it true that for best performance I should use ogl because it uses the q2 engine which was native to ogl?
I can't even run it in ogl. System:
celeron 400
win98
g400 max 6.04.029 WHQL drivers
dx7a (on top of uninstalled dx8)
The problem is that after it connects to a CS server in the console (after "done precaching") message the game starts but the console is covering it.
I can hear the game, but it looks like it's not flipping the back buffer to the front.
Note, I had a dx8 installation and I "uninstalled" it and installed dx7a, but still the same problem.
