Half-Life/CS ... Open GL ... best driver !!

Hi,

I recently bought a Matrox G400 DH, not mainly for gaming (except CounterStrike)
but for the best TV-OUT around.. So much
for the kudo´s...

At the same time I am trying to play Counterstrike except that it kicks me out
at random times with a powerdesk blue screen error.. I have seen lots of postings about this matter and searched this and other
bulletinboards many times for solutions...
Re-installed win98se, half-life.. Used
Kruzin excellent autoexec.cfg file.. You
name it, I tried it !

I am using the latest and second latest
drivers but I am of the idea that one of
older G400 drivers will do better...

What´s the best driver around where both
Tv-out and Half-Life work ??

Anyone please ?? [if not Kruzin :P]

I'll bump up this thread. With a question:

Are you trying to use OpenGL'd Half-Life and TV-Out at the same time? Dual Head on and all?

I am running HL/TFC (not into CS) in OGL mode with no problems. I have DH disabled, except for DVDMax.
For best speed, most people seen to find 5.4x or 5.5x the fastest.
I've never had a BSOD in the game from any version of the drivers. I would suspect this problem is sytem related, and not specific to the video drivers.

I guess it´s time to use ghost and
re-install my win98 in less then 10 mins
Or then a complete from scratch reinstall,
a days work ;(
