I had been using Links2001 with Windows 98 for over 3 months and had no problems. I have recently upgraded to Windows 2000 Professional and am having trouble getting the program to work. My hardware is as follows: -
ABIT BX6 rev 2 system board
256Mb Ram
Intel P3 450Mhz
Matrox G400 16M Dual Head
15G HDD
When I run the program you can see the main screen for about half a second then blanks for about 2 seconds before reappearing again. It then keeps on flashing like this, if you are quick you can even get to select a menu. So apart from the flashing the program seems to be working.
I have installed the latest drivers (plus some older ones) from Matrox, and tried version 7 and 8 of direct X for Windows 2000, nothing seems to work.
I have installed American McGee’s Alice and this works well. I am reluctant to reinstall Windows 98, as I like 2000 much better.
Anybody got any ideas as to what the problem is…………………
Thanks
