Am running at 1280x1024x16 and get a lot of "shimmering" effects, particularly with trees and rail tracks. This seems consistent regardless of screen resolutions, and is rather irritating to the eyes.
Also, at middle/far distance the scenery seems to just abruptly cut in, or appear as if it was applied like wallpaper, as you smooth the roll down, more appears as the character moves forward.
Are there some particular settings I should be using, or is this a function of the programming?
One other query...what uses more resources, high res w/16bit or lower res w/ 32bit?
Thanks
