oh my god this game is so beautiful!!
the enviroment bump mapping is a little over done but at least it uses it the rain effects are just awesome you can see the rooster tails and all the billboards reflected in the wet racetrack as you get closer to the next car visibility drops significantly until cut to one side or out brake the car awesome i love this card..again
setting are at 1024 everything turned on I dropped the viewing distances to 100% very gorgeous the dust effects when you go off are nicely done kicks the crap out of the PS2 version which is what got me to buy this for my PC in the first place

oh its the same course and the same turn (turn 1) i didnt change to cockpit view but didnt intend to give you an epiphany

Is it just me, or does it not look particularly realistic?

The cars seem to be floating on top of the track rather than sitting on it. Does it give this impression when you're playing it?

Other than that, the graphics look quite nice.

ok this is in 16 bit colour one is at the start the other is that jerk Alesi who forgot turn one in the rain at InterLagos is quite slippery and the last one is barichello being over taken by moi

why didn't you take the screen shots in 32bit? Looks pretty good tho, no noticable dithering even with the transparant smoke clouds.

actually yes it does and in the replays your car mysteriously sinks into the road and just your shadow is left in some angles. there a few a pet peeves but your really to busy trying to get the proper racing line and avoiding slower cars, spun cars, and basically trying to control a 900h.p rear wheel drive super car in the other views such as cockpit view it doesnt have that feel
of floating and one more thing those shots are high detail im posting some more in my briefcase which is linked above in maximum detail...the models are more sharper
