Well, as far as i know, the 6.x drivers are not for the Marvell series. I have PD 5.55 and i want TurboGL with it, but it can't install. Bummer...oh well.

Cyber-D,
You're partially correct. The 6.04 package does not contain drivers for the Marvel. The 6.10 package, however, does have Marvel drivers in it... and they work quite nicely. I should know. I'm running a Marvel G400 as well.
By the way, are you actually having problems with Q3 running slow, or are you just wanting to boost your performance?

ChronosZero ... I haven't tried 6.20 yet as reports are it didn't improve performance. I still run with 5.52. I'm in the middle of running a bunch of Q3A benches comparing w/ and w/o TurboGL and comparing CPUs (P!!!/450 vs. P!!!/850) so I'm not ready to play with new drivers until I finish my 5.52 testing. I know that 5.52 can still be faster than 6.10 and 6.14 packages.<TABLE BGCOLOR=Red><TR><TD><Font-weight="+1"><font COLOR=Black>The world just changed, Sep. 11, 2001</font></Font-weight></TR></TD></TABLE>

The benching has been taking waaaay longer than I thought. I'm just being very careful retesting to get accurate rates and going through a number of perturbations. I could run a couple tests for you when I finish but it wouldn't be a direct comparison since I'm running on an Asus P2B (440BX chipset). The bench results will eventually show up in the benchmark forum. I could post your results here. What specs were you interested in? 6x8, 8x6, 10x7, 12x10? 16 or 32 bit? Normal details, max, or somewhere in between?<TABLE BGCOLOR=Red><TR><TD><Font-weight="+1"><font COLOR=Black>The world just changed, Sep. 11, 2001</font></Font-weight></TR></TD></TABLE>

Chronos;
Well, i'm not having anny FPS problems. However, i do see some screwed up textures in quake. I know i installed Quake correctly because the textures weren't always like that. Some wall textures appear to be very light. But that doesn't bother me that mutch. But if i can get a lot more FPS with turboGl, then i would like to install is. But if i get only a few more FPS, then i won't bother installing.

TurboGL is only good if you're counting fps rates and have to eek every bit of performance out you can. You'll typically only see a few fps difference. You can get some very substantial improvements if your only running at 640x800.<TABLE BGCOLOR=Red><TR><TD><Font-weight="+1"><font COLOR=Black>The world just changed, Sep. 11, 2001</font></Font-weight></TR></TD></TABLE>

Cyber-D,
The best I can recommend is trying the process I went through.
Uninstall your current drivers and then load the PowerDesk 5.41 drivers. That will give you TurboGL. Then uninstall that and install the 6.10 package. TurboGL should stay installed. I'd also recommend using the GLSetup 1.0.0.114. I've had the best results with that version.
Hopefully that will work for you.
