Ok, i`m using Win2K, and all of a sudden CMR2 starts exiting to the desktop ... It starts, changes the resolution, and then just exits ... nothing is written in the error log.
I played CMR2 before ( last time ~1 week ago ) with no probs. I`ve installed Dx8 in the meantime ( or DX8a, can`t say for sure, cause DxDiag says Dx8, and i d/l Dx8a from the Microsoft site, besides, the two packages have exactly the same version number, 5.01.2258.0400 ) and some other things, but from what i can see, only CMR2 is having probs (UT, ChampMan01, yeah i know, not DirectX, but still ).
I read something about the USB error check causing probs, but i`ve tried that too, no success ...

Any thoughts?

I had a similar problem but with the demo. Have you been able to run it once? if so remove the config files - the files that contain the keyboard setup graphics etc.
There should be two. Run it again and it should work if not i'm stumped.

I had the same thing in w2k and dx8. I'm back to win98 with dx8.
