Grmbldegrmbldegrmbl. Stupid IE and WS-FTP integration. My UTMappack4 download quit at 54,000 bytes before the end. And wouldn't restart, I waited over an hour. Redownloading it now using Mozilla, without FTP !!

Just remember to del. the two DE files in your UT/SYS folder and DL it from the server. I cant recall which bonus pack it came from, nor do I know what its for, I just know there is different versions of it and if you don't have the one that is on the server you will get a error messages and wont be able to play on the server.

Had that problem again after reinstalling UT, lucky I remembered your tip

Now, how do I access the MURC UT IRC channel again ?

The IRC Channel

It is pretty important that everyone knows how to get into the IRC channel.

1)Within the game (UT - duh) click on the "Multiplayer" tab.

2) Go to "Find Internet Games"

3) Click on the "Chat" tab.

4) Change the IRC Server line to "irc.gameslink.net" (without the "'s).

5) Change the Default Channel to "#[MU]" (without the "'s).

6) Hit connect and you should see everyone there.

If nobody else is there, there should at least be an "@G" in the list. If there isn't you are in the wrong place. Once you get there you can follow players into games and see where everyone is playing.

This is also a good way to find players even when there isn't a scheduled game since most everyone logs into the IRC channel when they are playing.

Fun fun fun, since I started downloading the maps for Brian's server the wait times on the nalicity server have gone up, from 0 minutes to now 10 minutes waiting

Let's just stick to the standard maps that come with UT. If we get all fancy we will eliminate some of the players that are unable (due to their connection) or too stupid (just kidding) to get ALL of the maps in time.

I think we should just set the server(s) up for the bare minimum (Game, Bonus packs, standard maps, etc.). I am afraid that there will be too many people trying to download the maps at the last minuite and the server will suffer. I have played enough big games to know that when there are this many people involved:
Simple=Good

On another note, when I thought this game up I neglected to check the calender. Tomorrow is my B-Day (Doh!). We will be going out that evening so I will most likely be around for a little while but then I will have to leave. I will definately come back when I get home if anyone is still playing.
