Amish, had the same problems. Try playing it while you are connected to the Net. WMP needs to d/l the codec. Wulfman too had the same problem, you could try to check for updates ... or something. Anyway, wulf solved the problem, but neither he nor I know what made WMP d/l the codec.

I could tell you this : close WMP, connect to the Net, then doubleclick the file (or open WMP and the file), and hopefully the d/l will start ...

Actually, Wulf had it checked all the time. And it still didnt d/l the codec the first time he tried to play it.

It also didn't fully complete the codec download the first time by me and it just started playing with sound only.
Closed WMP and opened the movie again quite a few times before it did a 100% download and had visual.

Hi Guys,

If you go to the microsoft web page here..
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/win...de=2#location2

And download Windows media encoder version 8, it'll give you all the codecs needed to play most formats including obviously the one I used to encode the video.

Took me somewhat longer to download this time, as my original modem was blown a couple of days ago, so now I'm using a **spit spit** winmodem **spit spit** to be online. I think I can say goodbye to playing coming weekend as well

Oboy, I'd recommend that we see if we can get Elie to let us use thisvideo for the opener for the clan web page, in place of that piece that I (sorry ) never really got time to do. It's perfect, especially if we can put it in a format that will play in a browser window as the page loads.

Did i miss something or did Elie not attend our 2nd "reunion". I wasnt playing much this time (50% Packet loss!!!!) but i connected from time to time trying to tweak my connection but i didnt see Elie there ...

Omega, It was a little lopsided on the ol' ping-o-meter". Snake-Eyes and I were ping whipping you guys. I know that if it were a little more even (in the ping dept.) that you would have done better. I am impressed that a lot of you guys did as well as you did considering the fact that you were severely handicapped. Maybe next time we can play on a server on YOUR continent! Thanks for sticking with it. You guys made it fun!

BTW: I am in Tennessee right now and have no access to my machine (or UT) so I will not be in attendance this weekend . You guys practice up and I will be back for the weekend after that. Have fun!

Kindness is right about the ping thing. I really like my connection with this new DSL account, but it makes things even more lopsided in a lot of the servers I play on. At one point, right after Kindness came into the game, we were on the same team. When it became obvious how much of an edge having the two lpb's on the same team was, we decided to split up. After that things were a little more even (team scores, anyhow).

Too bad we won't see you this weekend Kindness. On the other hand, I'll have to be there early, and will miss the normal match time. I have work related stuff going on at exactly the wrong time on Saturday. I WILL be back online later in the night though, so maybe I'll still catch some of you (I hope).
