      Manually extract the ICD that came with the latest display drivers for G400 (even though they are not meant to be working with your video tools), by double-clicking the G400ICD.dl_ and assigning WinZIP as opening application. When asked, replace the underscore "_" by an "l", so that the resulting file will be G400ICD.dll.
      Make a backup of the ICD that is already in your system32 directory and copy this new file to that location.

      Background for this is the fact that Matrox started somewhat unifying their ICD, so that it is now exchangable accross different drivers releases and even between the major Window OS's, ie. Win98, NT & 2k ... dunno about W95 though.

      There's a good chance that your problem disappears.
