Running HL in OpenGL

Sorry! Your right, i didn't. I have now and I've still got the texture corruption problem. I have replaced the g400icd.dll dated 22/2/2001 with one dated 2/4/2001 from the 5.52 drivers.

What was the exact procedure when you changed your Matrox drivers ?

Did you use the uninstaller to get rid of all traces of previous driver installations ?

To me, your problems look exactly like an pretty ancient bug that was fixed long time ago and henc eI suspect that there might still some leftovers from older drivers ...

Hmm...I haven't seen any corrupted textures in TFC for a long, long time. However, I DO see corrupted textures in CS, and I think it is only when Punkbuster is running. I have not run across any TFC servers requiring PB. I don't have the crashing problem mentioned in the Punkbuster thread a few days back, though. Are you playing on a server that requires PB? If so, try another server that doesn't require it and turn off PB and see if it still happens. BTW, this is Win2K running the 5.52 drivers on a G400 MAX.

Just go to Add/Remove Programs and uninstall Matrox Graphics Software and reboot. Then just follow the instructions in this thread again.

Hmm... well for a start i'm not using Punkbuster although I have it installed. I'm using the 5.39 drivers for the marvel. The 5.52 drivers will not install on the marvel.
How am I supposed to uninstall the "old" drivers b4 I install the new ones?

Ok, i've done the uninstall and reinstalled the 5.39 drivers and updated the g400icd.dll file and i still get the same results.

When playing HL the textures don't seem to be corrupted to begin with. After playing for a while and newer textures are loaded they are corrupt. The original textures are still fine. Any ideas why this is so?

Did you already try to limit the AGP transfer rate from default AGP 2x down to AGP 1x ?

Okay, When you start TFC, are you using the TFC shortcut or using Pingtool or similar? Are you exiting back to the menu then returning to the game?
