All Graphics Corrupt while playing C-Strike

Hi All

I'm having a problem with my G400Max. Sometimes the graphics will corrupt in game and remain until my PC is rebooted. On only one occaision did exiting to the console and re-entering the game work.

Same exact same thing with mine! Exact I hardly ever notice it occuring anymore. It seemed to phase out, but every few weeks or so it might come back to me... Anyways I posted something like this a few months back, and my screenshot looked identical to yours. If you want to search backwards and try the suggestions I got... (I didn't try any of them, I got lazy and didn't mind it)

BTW what are the specs of your computer?

Thanx for the linkage DarkHorizon Looks like the same problem. Hmmm. Hopefully my experience will mirror yours as I haven't had that problem in the last three days. Now seeing a slightly different one where only Counter-Strike gets corrupted - a net type effect - and exiting the game to the desktop cures it. Here's hoping!

Dust build up areas are Canned Air'd frequently.

FWIW the latest VIA 4in1's and the VIA USB Filter are installed. These were installed after the problem appeared and haven't solved that issue but did solve a huge stability problem. No crashes/reboots for me in 3 days 10 minutes and I played CS every evening and yesterday for several hours during the day too Before that I'd be lucky to get 1/2 an hour! I think the introduction of the USB ADSL modem caused that problem.

When I messed with my Virtual memory a bit I used to get problems like that... but thatw as when I was on 64MB ram.

Your system is very identical to mine! Asus K7V... <jealous>But you have a Live Drive and PC133 RAM!</jealous> AND a thunderbird??? The K7V supports a thunderbird?

The K7V just about supports the Thunderbird Core - which is just as well as I bought the motherboard before the CPU and I didn't order a TB core! The overclock is purely to get the memory timings as such that the on-die cache of the Thunderbird doesn't cause memory errors. However the Cpu is good for 800Mhz at least (it is a 800MHz core if I've reading the markings correctly). The K7V-T altered the memory timings with additional SMT resistors and there was no way I was going to add them myself!!

Another night of gaming without issue (except I played poorly...) Still have my fingers crossed hoping the problem has gone away. Hmm perhaps I should un-cross them and maybe I'll play better
