We need to round up the [MU] Clan for a UT Match

Trust me guys. 600+ ping. With the 600 being the LOW ping. Prior to around 7PM at night I get only slightly higher than usual pings (maybe 100-125 lots of places, max), after that 600 is very low on the same sites, with the average maybe being closer to 850 or 900.

Oh, and so far there hasn't been a change to this pattern either. Last night was EXACTLY the same for me as the last week and a half has been.

Or, you could just all come to one of the two public Pluribus servers (normal DM there), which aren't affected by the current problem (tracert shows that the routing to them doesn't go through the affected ALTER.NET servers, heh).

Personally, I don't mind playing at a total disadvantage like that, so long as I'm not getting packet loss too (ironic, isn't it, but I haven't had much of that- I'm just usually seeing stuff 3 seconds or so after everyone else sees it or moves, heh).

Hmmmm guys? What happened? I had some phoneline problems so i was cut off from the net for 10 days, but it surprises me that in that 10 days nothing was said on this matter ... so are we having the match or not?

The problems with my ping have cleared up in the last few days. It's still not completely back to the way it was, but it's acceptable now (only 50 - 75ms higher in most places now). BTW, let's try to set a time in here, and see if anyone shows up? I've seen Kindness (Pneumatic, your secrets out now), TheRock, omegaRED, and Beezer playing at least once each over the last few days, so we shouldn't have too much problem getting enough people in for a match should we?

BTW Beezer, how'd you find us in the server yesterday, I was in IRC too, and it didn't look as if you'd been there (so that you could find and follow us..)?

Hey Ace, I don't remember playing yesterday. I did however, run into another Beezer a couple times lately. I believe he puts a "[CAN]" after the name. It was pretty funny having a Beezer[MU] and a Beezer[CAN] on the same server. The other people were confused.

I'll try to remember to log onto IRC more often. It's been pretty late by the time I get on lately, so I haven't bothered logging into chat.

Actually I think I'd be hard pressed to get any more than 3-4 people from work to play.

I haven't heard from Oboy lately and there is only one other guy here that plays on a regular basis.

His nick is Draggin_Spawn and he has been checking out the Matrox server from time to time but has only played the Bots so far.

He's a good guy so if you see him make him feel welcome.


I think we should just schedule a time and see who shows up. I don't think we'll get enough to make an Intel Team.

I'm just glad Ace is going to be on my team! It seems like most every time we play a team game we end up on opposite teams. I see Snake-Eyes as a little speck in the distance and he nails me with a rocket! Seems like he has Kindness radar or something.

I feel bad for those poor Intel suckers. We may not play as a team together, but we play a lot individually.

Of course ALBPM may be luring us into a trap like a pool shark.

There's about 8 Intel people that get together every month or so for a Lan Party but I haven't been able to talk to any of them much at work lately about UT anyway.

All this Ruckus over a 2.0Ghz P4, imagine that

But lets set a date to play and I'll email the gang at work again.
